Meet and Greet Scheduled with New Stoughton High Principal

Parents, students, faculty and staff are invited to join the Stoughton High administration for a meet & greet on August 29 in the SHS Media Center. It will be a chance to meet new principal Ms. Juliette Miller before the start of the school year.

Parents, students, faculty and staff are invited to join the Stoughton High administration for a "meet & greet" on Wednesday, August 29 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the SHS Media Center. 

"Before the hustle and bustle of the school year begins, take this opportunity to meet and the two Assistant Principals, Ms. Hope Fernandes and Mr. Michael O'Neil. Light refreshments will be served. Pop in and say hello. We look forward to meeting you," the announcement on the SHS website states.

Miller, a graduate of the , and a former math teacher at Stoughton High and director of mathematics at SHS, is set to become principal for the 2012-2013 school year.

With former O’Donnell Middle School principal Wayne Hester retiring at end of this past school year and former Stoughton High principal Matthew Colantonio becoming principal at the OMS next school year, there was a vacancy in the top post at SHS.

Most recently, Miller held administrative positions at both King Phillip Regional and Apponequet Regional High School, where she has served as Assistant Principal.

Student representatives from the Student Council and the National Honor Society will also be providing tours to all new and incoming students on Tuesdays in August from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., according to the SHS website. No appointments are necessary.

The first day of the 2012-2013 school year in Stoughton for students in grades 1-12 is Wednesday, September 5, 2012 (after Labor Day). Teachers (Unit A) and nurses report the day before, September 4. Kindergarten starts September 7.
