The Stoughton High football team, playing in memory of teammate David Wade, a senior who tragically died on Sept. 29, came away with a 20-0 win over Foxborough, Friday night in Stoughton, improving to 5-0 on the season.
Stoughton scored just four plays into the game, a 40-yard touchdown run by Marcus Middleton. Imani Pina recovered a Foxborough fumble in the endzone just before the half to put Stoughton up 14-0 and quarterback Dan Eckler found Middleton for a 67-yard touchdown pass early in the fourth. Stoughton's defense bent at times, but never broke, coming up with a number of key plays to keep Foxborough off the scoreboard.
Friday also marked Stoughton High's annual Homecoming festivities.
The Homecoming Court was made up of a group of 10 well-rounded seniors, who were recognized for their works as scholars, athletes and volunteers.
The court included: Caroline Cusack, Niamh Fennessy, Kelsie LaFerriere, Ariene Ohimor, Rachel Romeiro, Adam Leonard, Brett Hoffman, Daryl Ford, Wayne Barnaby and Pat Jackman.
Cusack was named the Homecoming Queen, while Barnaby was named the Homecoming King.
