Five School-Related Articles Pass at Stoughton Town Meeting

The articles propose renovations and updates to several school windows and roofs.

Members at Town Meeting in Stoughton on Wednesday voted in favor of five school-related articles, Stoughton school officials said.

The following warrant articles passed Wednesday night, according to school officials:

  • Article 52: Replacement of windows and doors for the Hansen School (110 voted "Yes," 2 voted "No," 1 abstained)
  • Article 53: Replacement of roof for the Gibbons School (106 voted "Yes," 2 voted "No," 1 abstained)
  • Article 54: Replacement windows for the Gibbons School (105 voted "Yes," 2 voted "No," 1 abstained)
  • Article 55: Replacement windows and doors for the Daw School (105 voted "Yes," 2 voted "No," 1 abstained)
  • Article 56: Replacement roof for the West School (105 voted "Yes," 2 voted "No," 1 abstained)

Stoughton will also receive more than 50 percent of reimbursement from the Massachusetts School Building Authority for Articles 52, 55 and 56, school officials said.
