Stoughton Author to Speak at Easton's Ames Free Library

Kyle Darcy will speak about his debut novel, UNDER CURRENT CONDITIONS at Easton's Ames Free Library. Darcy is the third author to be featured in the series and follows WCVB Channel 5 news anchor Bob Halloran and Emerson College Associate Professor Jerald Walker.

"Since the release of UNDER CURRENT CONDITIONS, my life has been enriched by the opportunity to meet many wonderful people, and in such beautiful settings as the Ames Free Library. Earlier this year, the Ames was recognized by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation as one of the top three community libraries in the country. The magnificent architecture of the building which was completed in 1883 with an endowment from Oliver Ames II, is complimented by the enthusiasm and professionalism of the library staff," Darcy acknowledged.

Darcy was a recent guest Speaker at an Eire Society of Boston event in The Boston Harbor Hotel. His calendar also includes an upcoming visit to the State House to meet Lieutenant Governor, Timothy P. Murray.

UNDER CURRENT CONDITIONS is receiving high praise from readers, including library directors and the media. Based on actual events, the story not only illustrates the benefits of a keen instinct, but also underscores the dire consequences of its failure. Beginning in Boston in 1999, the story chronicles a lucrative business opportunity, but an innocuous change in circumstances leads to kidnapping and FBI stings, culminating in 2009 with a precedent setting, international murder trial.
