Celebrating the End of the Year in Song at the Jones Preschool

The Jones Preschool had a concert and celebration to mark the end of the school year.

Like many Stoughton Schools, the commemorated the end of the year with traditional celebrations and parent gatherings for the families of each of their enrolled sessions.

The close of school marks yet another milestone in a child’s life regardless of whether they are transitioning to a new school or advancing to next grade.

Nicole Sutka, in both her welcoming introductory and closing remarks, recognized the importance of celebrating the students’ school year successes.

Following the school-wide concert, highlighting several of the songs learned throughout the year, the families were invited to individual classroom celebrations.

These celebrations varied and included a slide-show presentation, an awards ceremony and opportunities to share treats with their children and the teachers.

Several families voiced their appreciation for the event as they traveled through the halls.  One parent conveyed to another, “it is so neat to see him sing in front of so many people…he would not have done this in the fall.”

A bit later a grandfather, who was visibly thrilled to be sharing this event with his grandson expressed, “look at him sitting with his friends, this is great, look how big he has gotten!”
