A Fan’s Guide to the Division 2 Boys’ Basketball State Semifinals at the TD Garden

D2 South Champion Stoughton plays D2 North Champion Brighton Monday at 6 p.m. at the TD Garden in Boston.

With Saturday’s in the Division 2 South Sectional finals, the Stoughton High boys’ basketball team will now play at the TD Garden on Monday in a Division 2 state semifinal game, with a trip to the Division 2 state finals on the line.

Stoughton, the D2 South Sectional champion, will face Brighton, the D2 North Sectional champion, at 6 p.m.

This is more or less equivalent to being in the NCAA college basketball Final Four.

The following is a breakdown to assist fans with any questions they may have about Monday’s game.

Tickets: Tickets are available online for $10.95 per person (plus fees) and is good for admission to all high school games at the Garden on Monday. Tickets will also be available at the Garden on the day of the game for $15.

Please note, according to the Garden’s website, bags, computer cases, backpacks or parcels will not be allowed into the Garden.

Getting to the game: The TD Garden is located at 100 Legends Way in Boston.

The TD Garden is located near North Station. Public transportation options include the commuter rail (not the Providence/Stoughton line, however) and the Orange and Green Lines on the T.

The Stoughton Public Schools will be sponsoring five fan buses, set to depart at 4 p.m. These buses are free of charge and will be first-come, first-serve.

Four of the buses will be reserved for SHS students and one will be reserved for community members. If the students don’t fill the first four buses, there will be extra room for non-students.

What to wear: SHS Students are asked to wear black and orange to school on Monday and to wear their school colors to the Garden as well.
