The past three weeks have seen one snowstorm after another barrel up the east coast and dump more snow onto the area.

Plowing snow is often a thankless job. There is rarely praise, but there are few things that raise a person’s ire more than snow-covered streets days after a snowstorm has passed.

With us now deep into February and after three weeks of snowstorms, we want to know: How would you rate Stoughton's snow removal this winter? What have been your experiences?

Let us know in the comments section below. Give your praise, voice your concern and let the town know what you think about snow plowing this winter.

For the most part Stoughton has done a good job with the plowing on the main roads. But since I live on a side street that doesn't get alot of traffic and after Saturday's storm, 2 cars can no longer pass each other. Yes 2 cars can pass each other when there is no snow or when the neighborhood is plowed correctly. It was not fun coming around a blind corner and finding my neighbor trying to go around the same corner. There is no place to pull over to let one car pass either. We were both driving in a snowbank to pass safely.

Vicki, you should call the DPW and let them know . . . i'm sure they will take care of that . . . with so many streets to clear and so many storms, there are bound to be a few areas that need a second going-over . . . they just need to be informed!

By the time the storm stopped and I noticed it, it was Sunday morning and they were closed for the day and Monday was the holiday. Since it is now all iced over, it probably will be too late to do anything about it. It is not the first time it has happened with my neighborhood and won't be the last time either. That is what happens when you plow with a backhoe instead of a truck. Hopefully with the rain and warmer weather this weekend, it will resolve itself.

I personally think they do an awesome job. Not an easy job and sometimes not anywhere to put the snow but I think they do the best they can. My street is a very busy street with an incline and I'm thankful for the job they do.
