The Governor’s Statewide Youth Council is currently comprised of 28 young people ages 14 - 20, representing all 14 counties of Massachusetts. Council members were selected to advise Governor Patrick on key issues affecting youth across the Commonwealth.

The 2008-2010 Governor’s Youth Council played a strong role in advocating for the passage of the Massachusetts Anti-Bullying legislation.

The 2010-2012 Youth Council continued to focus on the issue of bullying, and worked with schools and communities to host “No Name Calling Day” on January 25, 2012 to raise awareness against bullying in schools.

The Council is currently planning various anti-bullying initiatives to kick-off the 2012-2013 school year.
