Selectman Candidates Participate in Candidate’s Forum at Senior Center [VIDEO]

The Stoughton Council of Aging recently held a debate between the four candidates for the Board of Selectmen—current Selectmen John Anderson and Cynthia Walsh, and challengers Joe Mokrisky and Bob O’Regan.

The candidate’s forum, hosted by About Town columnist Mark Snyder, was held last Thursday, March 8 at the .

In between opening and closing remarks, the candidates fielded questions for about 90 minutes from the large crowd, mostly comprised of senior citizens.

Topics of discussion included economic development for the town, senior issues and what each candidate felt was the most pressing or important issue facing the town.

The Stoughton/Sharon League of Women Voters and the Stoughton Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring a on Wednesday, March 14 at the (third floor, Great Gall) at 7 p.m.

The evening will feature a debate between selectmen candidates and School Committee candidates (incumbent Allan Mills and challenger Dr. Erdem Ural). Others running unopposed for town-wide offices will also have the chance to speak.

The town election is Tuesday, April 10.
