Preliminary Report Reveals Winners in Stoughton Election

Find out which candidates were voted for open seats on the Stoughton School Committee and Board of Selectmen.

The Stoughton Media Access Corporation reported as of 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night the winners of the contested races in the annual Stoughton town election.

For the Stoughton Board of Selectmen's race, David Sousa and Joe Mokrisky reportedly came out as this year's winners, while Joaquin Soares, Jr. and Mari-Kate Pina-Enokian won the School Committee race, according to initial reports Tuesday night by the SMAC

Sousa and Mokrisky ran against incumbent Chairman John M. Anzivino for the two open seats on the Board of Selectmen.

Running for the two seats on the Stoughton School Committee were incumbents George Dolinsky and Deborah Sovinee against challengers Randy Yanoff, Soares and Pina-Enokian. 

Town Clerk Amy Summers told Stoughton Patch as of this writing Tuesday night that officials had not yet completed tallying the total numbers from the polls.
