Three Adults Arrested in Stoughton Baby Shower Brawl Plead Not Guilty; Released on Bail

A brawl broke out a baby shower at Club Luis de Camoes on Porter Street late Saturday night with four people getting arrested, including one juvenile. The three adult men pleaded not guilty to charges in Stoughton District Court on Monday.

The three adult men arrested in the brawl which broke out at a baby shower at Club Luis de Camoes on Porter Street in Stoughton late this past Saturday night, pleaded not guilty to charges in court on Monday and were released on 1,000 cash bail each, the Boston Herald reports.

Paulo Pires Depina, 24; Aderito Lopes DeAndrade, 22; and Patrick Cardoso Lopes, 24, all from Brockton, were arraigned in  Stoughton District Court Court Jan. 15 for their alleged roles in the incident, which has made headlines locally and nationally.

The three will return to court March 1 for a pre-trial hearing, according to the Herald.

A 14-year-old from Brockton was also arrested, but is being dealt with in juvenile court.

Nearly 200 people, including children, were at the baby shower, which started at 9 p.m. on Jan. 12. Depina's sister, who is eight months pregnant, was the guest of honor, the Herald reports.

A fight, which quickly escalated, broke out a little after 11:30 p.m. Stoughton Police responded, but needed assistance from three other local police departments as well as the State Police and Norfolk County Sheriff's Office to quell the brawl.

Depina was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assault & battery on a police officer.

DeAndrade was charged with disorderly conduct, obstruction of justice, resisting arrest, and assault & battery on a police officer.

Lopes, who had to be tasered during the arrest by Stoughton Police, was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, assault & battery on a police officer, obstruction of justice, and witness intimidation.

Meanwhile, the 14-year-old juvenile was charged with disorderly conduct, obstruction of justice, resisting arrest, and assault & battery on a police officer.
