Stoughton police say Joseph Boucher, 19, of 245 York St., Stoughton allegedly threw a pair of pliers out of his window at a police cruiser Monday morning, breaking off the driver's side mirror and then led them on high speed chase, causing the police officer to crash, according to a posting on their Facebook page.
The officer is OK after the crash and Boucher was placed under arrested by Stoughton officer David Conforti after he allegedly attempted to abandon his vehicle.
Police are charging him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon, failure to stop for a police officer, operating to endanger, malicious destruction of property, wanton destruction of property and a variety of various motor vehicle offenses.
