Stoughton Police Make Arrests for Attempted Murder; Drug Possession; Drunk Driving; Assault

Attempted Murder Charge

Stoughton Police issued a warrant for the arrest of a Stoughton man following an incident where he allegedly choked his girlfriend and restricted her movement, Executive Officer Robert Devine said.

Albert J. Myers, Jr., 22, of McCormick Terrace in Stoughton, was charged with attempted murder, kidnapping, and domestic assault and battery.

The incident was reported to police at 6:25 a.m. on Jan. 2. Police went to Myers' apartment on McCormick Terrace, but were unable to locate him at the time.

Assault and Battery and Drug Arrest

Stoughton Police received a call reporting a male and female party arguing in middle of Grove St. at 1:21 a.m. on Jan. 4.

Nickole Medeiros, 25, of Lowe Ave. in Stoughton, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon; aggravated domestic assault and battery; possession of a Class C drug; possession of a Class E drug; and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

Steven Russo, 24, of Randolph, was charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct.

Medeiros and her current boyfriend, Russo, were allegedly having an altercation with Medeiros' ex-boyfriend. Medeiros allegedly hit her ex-boyfriend with a small bat, Executive Officer Devine said.

Drunk Driving

Stoughton Police responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Pearl St. and Stoughton St. at 7:22 p.m. Jan. 5.

Robert Joseph Lee, 30, of Mansfield, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor (second offense); negligent operation of a motor vehicle; marked lanes violation; and possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

OUI (Drugs)

Police received a call at 9:10 p.m. on Jan. 10 reporting an erratic operator of a car traveling on Washington St.

William John Mason, 34, of Canton, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of drugs (OUI drugs); possession of a Class B drug; operating a motor vehicle negligently to endanger; and furnishing a false name/social security number.

Assault

A caller reported he was hit by a vehicle during a vehicle repossession on Boylston St. Jan. 5 at 9:15 p.m.

George E. Souza, Jr., 58, of Boylston St. in Stoughton, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon; leaving the scene of personal injury; and operating a motor vehicle negligently to endanger.

Shoplifting

Samantha Lee Fox, 25, of Taunton, was arrested for shoplifting at Kohl's on Technology Center Dr. at 4:07 p.m. Jan. 9.

She is charged with shoplifting by asportation; resisting arrest; and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

Suspended License

Daniel Curtis, 26, of Brockton, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license; operating a motor vehicle negligently to endanger; and possession of a Class A drug following a motor vehicle stop on Freeman St. at 9:54 a.m. Jan. 6.
