Stoughton Police Log Jan. 11-12: Shoplifting Arrests, Copper Pipe Stolen, Water Main Breaks

Saturday, Jan. 11:
12:36 a.m. Motor vehicle stop at Central Street and Tanglewood Drive. Summons issued to Lydia Mendes Silva, 56, Chester Avenue, Brockton, motor vehicle lights violations, operating motor vehicle with a suspended license.
12:47 a.m. Notifaction of icy road conditions. PWD notified.
2:04 a.m. Report of icy roads on Highland Rock Drive.
2:41 a.m. PWD sanding truck struck a mailbox.
3:26 a.m. Officers reported motor vehicle slid off roadway on West Street.
5:37 a.m. Disturbance on Jones Terrence. Peace restored.
9:04 a.m. 911 ambulance call on Pleasant Street.
2:15 p.m. Party reported a possible rabid animal, possibly a muskrat. Animal left area before officers could locate.
2:49 p.m. Disturbance on Brock Street. Peace restored.
4:49 p.m. Motor vehicle accident on Pearl Street and Central Street. Fire department was notified. Canton Police located vehicle that had left the area.
4:57 p.m. Three vehicles reported on the side of the road with flat tires after hitting a large pothole between Pleasant Street and Turnpike Street-Central Street.
5:24 p.m. PWD notified that more cones or horses were needed for pothole on Cross and Moreau streets.
5:24 p.m. Caller said vehicle was hung up on sidewalk and unable to move. Party was advised to call tow company.
9:10 p.m. 911 ambulance call for the Arbors.
9:11 p.m. 911 ambulance call for Kennedy Road.
10:58 p.m. Caller into station to file a report about incident at work, Central Street Pizza & Grille, Dykeman Way.

Sunday, Jan. 12
12:02 a.m. Disturbance at Bennett Drive, Peace restored.
1:16 a.m. Disturbance at McCormick Terrence. Loud party reported. Officers advised parties to turn down the music.
1:50 a.m. 911 ambulance call for Washington Street.
2:03 a.m. Assisted Randolph Police with an accident that started in Stoughton.
7:43 a.m. 911 ambulance call Cross Street.
10:43 a.m. Party in station to report stolen bag at Panera Bread. They reported they gave it to someone else.
11:26 a.m. PWD notified of water main break on Porter Street.
12:24 p.m. Party reported stolen trailer plates on Sofia Road.
12:43 p.m. Caller reported copper piping stolen out of building on Britton Avenue.
12:54 p.m. 911 ambulance call for Seaver Street.
1:40 p.m. Shoplifting at Kohl's. Female shoplifter refused to stop for loss prevention officer. Summons issued to Lisa M. Earthbawey, 29, Weston Street, Brockton, shoplifting by concealing merchandise.
3:30 p.m. PWD notification of a basement flooding on Woodpecker Road.
4:01 p.m. Security at Stop & Shop reported bad travelers checks were passed Jan. 11.
4:54 p.m. Shoplifting at Kohl's reported with a female with a child. Summons issued to Kim Phuong Nguyen, 36, Prospect Street, Canton.
4:45 p.m. Caller reported lost dog and given the telephone number of the person who found her dog.
6:17 p.m. Medical emergency at the Arbors, Central Street, transferred to fire department,
6:59 p.m. Call from Sharon Police for minor vehicle accident and road rage at Maxie's Deli, Sharon Street. Car was reportedly rear ended while pulling into parking lot. Sharon P.D. reported one party had left the area, and the other was at Subway. No damage to vehicle that was on the scene.
7:10 p.m. Caller reported possible Western Union scam.
9:14 p.m. Medical emergency for West Street.
