Stoughton Police Charge Stoughton Man with Assault

Stoughton police arrested Guttemberg Lima, 49, of Voses Court in Stoughton, charging him with assault to commit a felony, two counts of assault, assault and battery on ambulance personnel and three counts of threats, according to their Facebook page on  Sept. 5.
After being arrested, Stoughton Police allege Lima threw himself on the floor of the booking area, flailing, while holding his breath, between threatening to shoot officers and others.
Stoughton Fire Department personnel reportedly attempted to transport him for evaluation and were met by threats to murder them. Police say Lima was belligerent, spitting on them while the fire department attempted to threat them and that he continued that behavior in the hospital and back at the station where he reportedly threatened to murder arresting officers.
