Stoughton Police Arrest Man for Possession of Crack Cocaine

Police executed a search warrant Friday April 27, resulting in the arrest of a 26-year-old Stoughton man.

The Detective Division concluded a month-long investigation Friday, April 27 on an individual who they suspected was selling crack cocaine out of his vehicle.

As a result of their investigation, two search warrants were issued for the suspect's home and car, which led to the arrest of a 26-year old Stoughton man.

According to SPD Sgt. Bob Welch, The warrants were executed simultaneously.

"A small amount of crack cocaine and several thousand dollars in cash were discovered in the home. No drugs were found in the car, but more cash was on the suspect's person," Welch said.

Stoughton Police arrested Andrew Levy, 26, of Stagecoach Road in Stoughton. That is the new apartment complex on the Stoughton/Canton line.

Sgt. Welch said that Levy would be arraigned Monday morning (April 30) in on charges of Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Drug (crack cocaine), and Operating a Vehicle After Revocation of License.

To look at it from the glass half full approach, it's a positive that the SPD is making these arrests and getting the drugs off the streets.

I agree with Jeff. Unlike other local communities with similar problems, we don't bury our heads in the sand. We have an active police drug investigation unit, a cooperative school department, and OASIS initiating preventative programs.

I think this makes our town especially our police dept look great. It show we are not going to put up with drug, threats to hurt our youth, Whatever it is... Most of us were born & raised here & are raising our kids here & we want quiet peaceful Stoughton back!

Christine, so correct....although not raised here myself, we moved here in Oct. 99... My wife and have made a lot of decisions concerning our family, and one of the best...was to raise our children here....We simply love this town... and to hear the news that has recently surfaced is very troubling...DK, is correct, been some bad things in the headlines recently, but i so agree with Mark, and Jeff..... this town is not one to bury it's head and hope the situation improves....I am so Thankful for the Stoughton Police Department... and how they have labor to bring these folks who are trying to pollute our town to justice, but let me also say....A town can have a tremendous Police force, but more importantly it MUST HAVE A STRONG, DILIGENT CITIZENRY.... A town that buries it's proverbial head in the sand, exhibits a sense a fear, it tends to whine a complain, and do nothing.... but there is a greater force in this universe, greater than the sense of fear, and that's the sense of love.... Love always Conquerors Fear...Stoughton (toughtown), i belive has this spirit of Love....We will not tolerate these situations to continue. Let's all become aware of what is going on around us....and become deligent in routing out these negative situations...Go Knights!!!!!
