Stoughton Police Arrest Man for Alleged Assault, Possession of Firearm and Destruction of Property

Domestic Assault and Battery

Stoughton Police received a call at 11:43 p.m. on Dec. 3 from a female at 45 Stoughton St. reporting that her boyfriend was breaking items in the home.

Police responded and placed Doane Brown, 34, of Roxbury under arrest.

He is charged with domestic assault and battery; possession of a firearm in a felony (subsequent offense); unlawful possession of ammunition/mace; violation of an abuse prevention order; wanton destruction of property over $250; and receiving stolen property over $250.

Woman Throws Coffee at Boy

A juvenile male attempted to chase a neighbor's dog out of his yard. The dog's owner then allegedly threw a cup of coffee towards the juvenile male's face. No injuries were reported.

The incident was logged at 3:40 p.m. on Dec. 3 on West. St. in Stoughton.

Mary Frost, 52, of West St. in Stoughton received a summons, charged with assault and battery.

Harassment

An alleged case of harassment was reported to police at 11:33 on Dec. 5.

Julie Mahaney, 21, of Adams St. in Stoughton received a summons, charged with two counts of intimidating a witness; and single counts of threatening to commit a crime; criminal harassment; and obstruction of justice.

Domestic Assault and Battery

Police received two calls from 135 Pearl St. at 4:57 p.m. on Dec. 5 One call was from a male party and the other call was from a female party, both reporting different stories of an assault.

Male party was placed under arrest, with the female being transported to the hospital.

Stephen Hannon, 68, of Holbrook was charged with domestic assault and battery.

Drunk Driving

Police made a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Prospect St. and Walnut St. at 1:10 a.m. on Dec. 6.

John Anthony Fairhurst, 33, of Plymouth was charged with OUI (liquor); possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle (two counts); negligent operation of a motor vehicle; and a marked lanes violation.

Disturbance

Melisa Williams, 23, of Randolph was arrested at 1:13 a.m. on Dec. 5, charged with disorderly conduct at Smokey Bones on Technology Ctr. Dr.

Fight/Affray

Police received a call reporting a fight on Fourth St. Steven Thomas, 28, of Elm St. in Stoughton was arrested on an outstanding warrant at 5:26 p.m. on Dec. 5.

Disturbing the Peace

Edward Courteau, 51, of Wareham was charged with disturbing the peace at 12 Jefferson Ct. at 5:18 a.m. on Dec. 4.

Driving Without a License

Police made a motor vehicle stop on Park St. at 10:44 p.m. on Dec. 4.

Mariela Pena Flores, 40, of Brockton was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop for a police officer while operating a motor vehicle.

And, police issued a summons to Randy Harrison, 37, of Dorchester, following a motor vehicle stop at Tedeschi Food Shop on Central St. at 9:10 a.m. on Dec. 3.

Harrison is charged with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license; operating with a suspended registration; and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
