Stoughton Officials Join Caravan to RI to Celebrate Boy's Birthday

Hundreds of local police and fire officials journeyed to Rhode Island Thursday to celebrate the birthday of a 7-year-old battling leukemia.

Police and fire officials from Stoughton joined a large convoy of crews traveling to Rhode Island to celebrate the birthday of a 7-year-old boy currently battling cancer.

Hundreds from Massachusetts and New Hampshire joined a convoy of police and firefighters on Thursday to deliver birthday wishes to 7-year-old Tyler Seddon, a 7-year-old Pascoag, Rhode Island boy who is battling leukemia.

Seddon, who began fighting leukemia in 2010, was considered cancer free in 2012. But in November last year, blood tests revealed his cancer had returned, and his mother started a Facebook campaign to collect cards from police and firefighters. The post went viral and ballooned into a larger effort.
