Stoughton Native Killed in Brockton Shooting

Marvin Pardo, 35, was fatally shot at a Brockton apartment complex Sunday, November 18. His funeral will be held Saturday, Nov. 24, with visiting hours being held the evening of Nov. 23.

Police are investigating a Nov. 18 shooting at an apartment complex in Brockton which killed 35-year-old Marvin Pardo, a Stoughton native and 1996 graduate of Stoughton High.

Pardo was "found with gunshot wounds to his head and chest when Brockton police responded to the Madrid Square condominium on Oak Street around 3:33 a.m. Sunday," the Boston Globe reports.

According to the Globe, Pardo lived on the first floor in one of the units at Madrid Square and was shot in the building's vestibule. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Brockton Police are still searching for the shooter. No arrests have been made as of yet, according to the Globe.

Pardo grew up in Stoughton, attending the Gibbons Elementary School, according to his obituary. While at Stoughton High he was a star member of the SHS basketball team.

Certified in computer technology, he was the owner of Virus Removal Services for several years, according to his obituary.

He is survived by his daughters, Aryana and Odeijah; his parents, Daniel M. Pardo and Marie Anne (Raphael) Pardo; his sisters, Gabrielle Abelard and her husband Riccardo and Danushca Pardo; and his nieces and nephew, Alixandria Abelard, Riccardo J. Abelard and Anjolie Abelard.

Funeral services will be held at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St. in Brockton, Saturday, Nov. 24 at 9 a.m. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery in Brockton.

Visiting hours will be held the evening before, Friday, Nov. 23, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home.

Its a sad commentary on society ...good kind people slain ...shameful to lose a fine young man.
