Stoughton Man Struck By Car in Hingham

By Tony Catinella
Hingham Police are still investigating a pedestrian accident on Friday night after a 42 year old Weymouth man stuck a 23-year-old pedestrian from Stoughton with his Pontiac Aztec on Route 3A.

Police say the pedestrian was crossing Route 3A in Hingham, by the Bradley Woods Drive intersection, just after 10:30 p.m. when he was struck by the vehicle and was thrown onto the hood, windshield, and part of the roof and landed just ahead of the car, according to WATD.

The pedestrian was unconscious at the scene and a nurse at the scene was able to provide him with first aid. He was quickly transported to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth by Hingham Fire Department Paramedics and was released from the hospital Saturday morning, WATD reported.
