Stoughton High Graduate Placed on FBI's Most Wanted Terrorists List

A 1999 Stoughton High graduate has been placed in the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorists List.
Ahmad Abousamra is a wanted fugitive and was placed on the list Wednesday, said Vincent S. Lisi, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Boston Division, according to WHDH report.

The FBI is offering $50,000 for information leading the capture and the return of Abousamra to the United States. He was indicted for allegedly attempting to obtain military training during multiple trips to Pakistan and Yemen for purpose of killing American soldiers overseas. A $50,000 reward was issued in October of 2012.

The FBI believes Abousamra is living in Aleppo, Syria, with extended family, his wife, and at least one child, a daughter.

A federal arrest warrant was issued for Abousamra in Boston's United States District Court, Friday, Nov. 5, 2009.

He was charged with:
-Conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists
-Providing and attempting to provide material support to terrorists.
-Conspiracy to kill in a foreign country
-Conspiracy
-False statements

Abousmra is believed to be armed and dangerous. He is currently 32 years old, 5'll", with a slim build as at the time he fled, he was weighing approximately 170 pounds, has dark brown hair and brown eyes, speaks, reads and writes fluently in English and Arabic.

After attending Xaverian for three years, according to a report in the Boston Globe, Abosamra transferred to Stoughton High for senior year. He was living in Mansfield at the time he fled the country.
