Stoughton Firefighters Perform CPR to Save Woman at Boxing Match

An attendee of a boxing match collapsed on Saturday night.

A group of Stoughton firefighters resuscitated a woman who collapsed at a local boxing match on Saturday, Stoughton Fire Rescue officials said Sunday.

While attending the boxing match, at which firefighter Mike Schifone's son was competing, a woman collapsed and was found to have no pulse. Through CPR and a defibrillator, Stoughton firefighters were able to resuscitate the woman, officials said.

The department commended those who rescued the woman: Firefighters Peter Denneno, Bradford Newbury, Ryan Cabral and former Stoughton firefighter Paul McCafferty, now of West Bridgewater.
