Stoughton Fire Dept. Launches Auction to Benefit Fallen Boston Firefighters

Bidding on a special Boston Red Sox package ends at 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Stoughton Fire Department has announced a new Facebook Auction to help raise money to benefit the families of two Boston firefighters who died while battling a massive nine-alarm fire in Boston's Back Bay last month.

Boston Fire Lt. Edward Walsh and Firefighter Michael Kennedy were killed while responding to the fire on March 26, and the Lieutenant Walsh - Firefighter Kennedy Memorial Fund was subsequently established to support their families in their honor.

The Stoughton Fire Department's new auction offers a special Boston Red Sox package that was put together from donations by local businesses and Facebook friends of the department. Full details of what's included in the package can be found at the Stoughton Fire Department's Facebook page.
