Stoughton Fire Department Responds to Mobile Home Fire in Easton

Two were injured after a trailer in Easton's mobile home community suffered "extensive damage" following an early morning blaze Monday morning, Oct. 22. The Stoughton Fire Department provided mutual assistance.

The Stoughton Fire Department, along with fire departments from three other local communities, assisted the Easton Fire Department in fighting an early morning blaze in a mobile home community, located off Route 138/Turnpike St. in Easton.

Two were injured in Monday's fire which left a trailer with "extensive damage."

Easton Fire Chief Kevin Partridge said fire officials responded to the blaze and were able to treat two victims. Two fire engines and one ladder truck arrived at the scene.

"Two occupants including the owner of the trailer escaped the fire but were treated for smoke inhalation and transported to Morton hospital [in Taunton]," he said.

Partridge said the fire is under investigation to determine the orgin and cause.

In addition to Stoughton, mutual aid assistance was provided by West Bridgewater, Brockton and Raynham.

The American Red Cross is assisting the victims of the fire.
