UPDATED: Small Child Seriously Injured After Being Struck by Car in Front of Hansen School

UPDATED, 4:09 p.m.: Stoughton officials have only confirmed that one person was struck. Earlier media reports said five people were injured. 

A serious pedestrian accident has shut down Central Street in front of the Hansen School and seriously injured a small child Friday afternoon.

Executive Officer Robert Divine of Stoughton Police Department said that a small child suffered serious injuries in the accident and that they are not issuing any further statement at this time.
