Two people were transported to area hospitals with minor injuries following an accident Saturday night on Route 24 in Stoughton, according to Stoughton Fire Department captain Robert O'Donnell.
The injuries were the result of a rear-end collision under the Route 139 overpass on Route 24 southbound around 10 p.m.
Fire Departments from Stoughton and Randolph responded to the scene, O'Donnell said. Randolph transported one patient to the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, while an ambulance from Brewster, who was returning from another call, transported another patient to Boston Medical Center, according to O'Donnell.
A little more than 8 hours later, emergency crews responded to another accident on Route 24 near the Route 139 interchange in Stoughton.
O'Donnell said the Randolph FD transported a patient to Good Samaritan following a single car rollover, which took place at 6:50 a.m. on Sunday.
And, further down Route 24, two people were killed in a three-car crash in West Bridgewater around 4 a.m. on Sunday, according to the Massachusetts State Police.
This double fatal crash comes less than three days after , a 12-year-old Norton girl, was on Route 24 northbound on July 12.
The July 12 rollover, which took place on the Stoughton/Avon line, about a quarter-mile from the 139 interchange, also hospitalized two women from Norton.
