Pregnant Woman Assaulted at BJ's in Stoughton

Pregnant Woman Assaulted

responded to BJ's Wholesale Club at 901 Technology Center Dr. in Stoughton at 2:21 p.m. on August 17 after a pregnant employee there was allegedly assaulted and had her wallet stolen.

Johntea Thompson, 22, of Brockton, was arrested for assault and battery on a pregnant woman; assault and battery with a dangerous weapon; and unarmed robbery.

Eric Lewis, 22, of East Bridgewater, was also arrested - charged with larceny over $250.

Underage Drinking

Police responded to a call for a loud party on Golden Road at 12:11 a.m. on August 18.

Anthony Carter, 20, of Manor Drive in Stoughton, was placed in protective custody and charged with possessing liquor under the age of 21 and carrying a dangerous weapon.

Mark Sousa Salvador, 25, of School St. in Stoughton, was also placed in protective custody and charged with furnishing a false identity to police.

A little more than a half hour later, police responded to a call for a large party in progress on Robin Circle at 12:44 a.m. on August 18. The Sharon Police Department also responded, providing mutual aid.

Stephen Leoffler, 19, of Robin Circle in Stoughton, was charged with possessing liquor under the age of 21. He was placed in protective custody.

Alexander Lorius, 20, of Lincoln St. in Stoughton, was charged with possessing liquor under the age of 21.

At 7:06 a.m. police received a call from this same residence on Robin Circle reporting items were stolen from the home.

Drunk Driving

Police received a call reporting an erratic driver on Washington St. near the McDonald's at 10:22 p.m. on August 19.

James Schuler, 45, of Brockton was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor (OUI) and possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

Disorderly Person

One person was placed in protective custody at 10:42 p.m. on August 18 at the Summer Festival being held at Club Luis de Camoes on Porter Street.

Eric Nordsrom, 29, of Brockton, was charged with assault and battery (domestic) and disorderly conduct.

Bank Fraud

Two cases of people passing bad checks at Eastern Bank on Washington St. in Stoughton were reported to police the morning of August 19.

Melissa Jean Connolly, 35, of Brockton, and Don V. Twiggs, 33, of Boston, were both charged with uttering a false check and larceny over $250.

Intoxicated Person at Shaw's?

Police received a call at 9:27 p.m. on August 17 for reports of a possibly intoxicated person sleeping on a bench inside the Shaw's at 666 Washington St.

The also responded and transported this person to the hospital.

Medical Emergency

Police and Fire responded to Stop and Shop on Washington St. at 7:01 p.m. on August 19 after the manager there reported that a diabetic employee had fainted.

The SFD transported the employee to the hospital.

Stoughton DPW Traffic Cones End Up in Easton

The Easton Police Department recovered several of the Stoughton DPW's traffic cones on Allen Rd. in Easton (off of Bay Road). A single DPW saw horse still remains at that location, the August 18 police log states.

Suspicious Person in Nightgown

A person came into the police station on Rose St. at 7 a.m. on August 17 to report an older female walking down Ryan Rd. in a nightgown.

The police log reports that the party in question "checks ok."
