Police Log: Two Charged for Distributing Liquor to a Minor

The following information was provided by the Stoughton Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Tuesday, April 1

At 3:12 a.m., Stoughton police responded to Cumberland Farms on Turnpike Street on a report of a suspicious motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers placed a Lynn woman into protective custody and transported the person back to the Stoughton Police Department.

At 7:16 a.m., police pulled over a vehicle in the area of Plain and Farrington streets, where they arrested Nuno Souto of Sharon on a warrant. The driver was also cited for driving with a suspended license.

At 7:10 p.m., police arrested David Lore, Jr. of Stoughton for possession of a Class B substance after responding to Bay Road on a report of an unwanted person.

At 6:05 p.m., police responded to McCormick Terrace on a report of a suspicious motor vehicle. Upon arrival, police arrested Viana Genair, 45, of SToughton for operating a vehicle under the influence of liquor, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

Sunday, March 30

At 11:34 a.m., police responded to Curtis Avenue on a report that the roadway was flooded and not passable. The Stoughton Department of Public Works was notified and cleared the drain.

At 4:58 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident in the area of Prospect and Pleasant streets. As a result, police issued a summons to a Stoughton resident for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop/yield.

Saturday, March 29

At 12:22 a.m., police responded to Sams Getty on Canton Street, behind which a bon fire was reported. Police arrested Jarrod Tracey, 21, of Stoughton and Emily Hines, 22, of Randolph for selling and delivering alcoholic beverages to a minor.

At 3:39 a.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious-looking vehicle in the area of Washington and Brock streets. A caller reported that a vehicle was driving on the wrong side of the road, weaving out of control. Upon arrival, police arrested Manuel Monteiro of Dorchester for operating a vehicle under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.

Friday, March 28

At 1:34 a.m., police responded to Shaw's on Washington Street on a report of a suspicious motor vehicle and subsequently placed a Brockton East man into Protective Custody.

At 2:44 p.m., police responded to House of Brews on Porter Street to serve a warrant of apprehension. Police arrested Robert Battista, 35, of Canton on a warrant and possession of a Class B drug.

At 8:01 p.m., police responded to a report of an accident in the area of School and Pearl streets. Upon arrival, police arrested John Rose, 64, of Stoughton for driving under the influence of liquor and leaving the scene of property damage.

At 8:35 p.m., police responded to Kohl's on a report that a male and female shoplifter pushed a cart into the parking lot. Police arrested Michael Aprille, 49, of Weymouth for larceny over $250 and conspiracy, and Shirley Fisher, 58, of Weymouth for larceny over $250, conspiracy and possession of a Class C drug.
