Police Log: Several Stoughton Homes Struck with Paint Balls

The following information was provided by the Stoughton Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Thursday, May 22

At 1:20 p.m., Stoughton Police pulled a vehicle over near The Last Shot on Washington Street, where they issued a summons to a Brockton resident for driving with a suspended license and driving without an inspection sticker. 

At 3 p.m., a caller reported to Stoughton Animal Control that a squirrel had been found in the home's living room.

Friday, May 23

At 11:38 a.m., police pulled a vehicle over on Pleasant Street, where they issued a summons to a Stoughton man for driving with a suspended license.

At 4:39 p.m., police arrested Bryan Packard, 33, of Stoughton on a warrant. 

At 5:46 p.m., police received a report that a dog had been struck by a motorcycle on Sumner Street. The motorcycle left the area and the dog was taken to the vet.

At 5:55 p.m., police responded to the area of Southworth Court, where a male parties were heard yelling in the woods, with one party yelling to put down a gun. Officers spoke with those in the area and found that they were playing with an air soft gun in the woods. 

At 10:07 p.m., police received a report that two youths stole a bottle of liquor from Central Liquor on Wyman Street. Three males were reportedly involved and headed int the direction of the VFW, according to reports. 

Saturday, May 24

At 2:02 p.m., police received a report from an employee at IKEA that they had received a $100 counterfeit bill. 

Sunday, May 25

At 1:18 a.m., police responded to Warren Avenue, where they placed a 22-year-old Stoughton man into protective custody. 

At 12:15 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of Washington and School streets, where they issued a summons to a 41-year-old Stoughton resident for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

At 7:32 p.m., police received a report of possible drug activity in the back parking lot of an apartment building on Page Terrace involving a beige Chevy Tahoe. Officers checked the area and the vehicle was gone on arrival. 

At 9:30 p.m., police responded to the area of Bob's Foodmart on Park Street, where two middle-aged females were reportedly standing next to a Ford Escape smoking marijuana. 

Monday, May 26

At 1:43 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident in which one vehicle reportedly struck two others outside of a home on Kennedy Road. Police arrested Michael Gabriel Dalton, 23, of Stoughton for driving under the influence of liquor and operating a motor vehicle negligently to endanger. 

At 2:57 p.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle accident in the area of Central and Pleasant streets, where they issued  summons to a 34-year-old Stoughton woman for operating a vehicle with a suspended registration and following too close. 

At 5:45 p.m., a caller from the Chase Run area reported that her house had been hit by paint balls. 

At 5:51 p.m., a resident of Monk Street reported that several homes in the area had been hit by paint balls. 

At 5:59 p.m., a Plain Street resident reported that their house had been hit with paint balls. 

Tuesday, May 27

At 4:21 p.m., police received a report from a Central Street resident that a raccoon had been spotted in his yard and it may have been rabid. Officers responded and found that the animal was deceased. 

At 8:01 p.m., a caller reported that two males were yelling and swearing at a manager at The Oliver Garden on Technology Center Drive for being refused alcohol.
