Police Log: Kohl's Shoplifter Carrying Mace Charged
The following information was provided by the Stoughton Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.
Thursday, Feb. 13
At 1:46 a.m., police issued a summons to a 47-year-old Canton man for driven with a suspended license after responding to the area of Washington Street on a report of a suspicious motor vehicle.
At 2:14 p.m., police received a report of suspicious activity in the area of Summer Avenue in regards to a 14-year-old female wearing a tee shirt and "soaking wet" while a male was attempting to pull her by her elbow, according to police records. A second caller reported that the two individuals entered a dwelling on Perry Avenue; police spoke with the parties involved and determined that they were two juveniles arguing.

At 4:02 p.m., police responded to Kohl's after receiving a report of shoplifting. Upon arrival, police arrested a 39-year-old Randolph woman for larceny of more than $250, shoplifting of more than $100 by asportation and unlawful possession of mace.

At 2:32 p.m., police received a report of larceny in the area of Washington Street, and subsequently issued a criminal summons to a 34-year-old Stoughton resident for credit card fraud of less than $250 and larceny of less than $250.
Saturday, Feb. 15
At 12:27 a.m., police received a report of a suspicious vehicle at Cumberland Farms on Park Street. Upon investigation police round that the driver of a green Nissan Xterra had been attempting to get gas but the station was closed at the time.
At 9:29 a.m., police issued a summons to a 41-year-old Dedham woman for driving with a suspended registration in the area of Central and Pearl streets.
At 2:47 p.m., police issued a no-trespass order to a female shoplifter at Target.
At 4:34 p.m., police issued a summons to a 44-year-old Stoughton woman for use of a motor vehicle without authority.
At 8:37 p.m., police arrested a 36-year-old Stoughon man in the area of Washington and School streets for disturbing the peace, operating a motor vehicle negligently to endanger, failure to stop for a police officer while driving and a marked lanes violation.
At 10:40 p.m., police received a report from a Pleasant Street resident who claimed a neighbor was blowing snow into her yard and the snow was hitting her windows.
At 10:51 p.m., police responded to a car accident involving a Department of Public Works vehicle on Chisholm Road. Upon arrival, police arrested a 47-year-old Stoughton woman for driving under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
At 11:52 p.m., police placed a Sharon woman and a Canton man into protective custody after responding to a report of a road hazard on Washington Street.
