Police Log: Falmouth Man Detained After Disturbance at Governor's Pub

The following information was provided by the Stoughton Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Wednesday, March 19

At 6:36 a.m., Stoughton police responded to Stagecoach Road on a report of a drug violation. A resident called police to report a strong odor of marijuana in the hallway coming from an unknown apartment. Police advised the resident to contact the building's leasing office as they investigated. 

At 6:50 a.m., police responded to Shaw's on a report that a door at the rear of the building had been propped open with a shovel. An officer found the shovel in the door way but reported it did not appear that anyone had gained access into the store and removed the shovel.

At 12:59 p.m., police placed a Stoughton man into protective custody after responding to a request for assistance with an intoxicated person. 

At 1 p.m., police pulled over a vehicle on York Street and arrested Kaitlin Walsh, 25, of Holbrook on a warrant. Officers also arrested Melissa Sarofeen, 28, of Braintree, for possession of heroin.

At 8:06 p.m., police arrested Nardine Michel, 40, of Brockton for larceny of more than $250 and resisting arrest after responding to a report of jewelry theft at Kohl's. 

At 9:51 p.m., police responded to TGI Friday's on Hawes Way on a report of an unwanted party. A manager at the restaurant requested assistance with an intoxicated female, and police placed a 27-year-old Holbrook woman into protective custody.

Thursday, March 20

At 1:39 a.m., police responded to the Bank of America ATM in the Shaws Plaza on Washington Street on a report of suspicious activity. Police placed a Nantucket woman into protective custody. 

At 10:33 a.m., police responded to Bed Bath and Beyond on Park Street on a report of shoplifting. A woman allegedly stole two aero beds, and police issued a summons to a Stoughton woman for larceny over $250.

At 1 p.m., police responded to Laurelwood Drive on a report of vandalism to a condo and issued a summons to a Stoughton resident for malicious destruction of property of more than $250.

At 5:01 p.m., police responded to Governor's Pub on Monk Street on a report of a fight. Police placed a Falmouth man into protective custody on charges of assault and battery of a person over the age of 60, assault and battery and disturbing the peace.

Friday, March 21

At 7:14 a.m., a Stoughton police officer and the FBI responded to a Bramblebush Road residence to arrest Jerome Rice, 53, of Stoughton on a warrant. 

Saturday, March 22

At 7:47 p.m., police issued a summons to a Stoughton woman for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding in the area of Park Street and Park Avenue.

Sunday, March 23

At 1:34 p.m., police and an ambulance responded to Stop and Shop on a report that a woman had passed out in the store. Police issued a summons to the Foxborough woman for operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs and possession of a Class A drug.
