Police Log: Drivers Cited, Man Charged For Firearm Possession

The following information was provided by the Stoughton Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Friday, Feb. 21

At 12:07 a.m., Stoughton Police responded to the Stoughton Motel on Washington Street, where a person reportedly left the motel on foot appearing intoxicated. Police subsequently located and charged a Stoughton man on a default warrant. 

At 1:20 a.m., police pulled over a vehicle on Washington Street and subsequently issued a summons to a Stoughton resident for an improper turn and for operating with a suspended license.

At 4:16 a.m., police responded to Prospect Street on a report of a person seen walking up and down the rstreet with a shopping cart and wearing dark clothes. Police located the individual and arrested a Brockton man on a warrant. 

At 10:30 a.m., Stoughton officers assisted the Medway Police Department regarding an arrest warrant for a Worcester man.

Saturday, Feb. 22

At 7:19 p.m., police responded to Pleasant Street on a report of an erratic driver. Upon arrival, police located the vehicle and arrested a 79-year-old Boston resident for driving under the influence of liquor and a marked lanes violation. 

Sunday, Feb. 23

At 12:39 a.m., police responded to Pleasant Street on a report of suspicious activity, and subsequently arrested a Hyde Park man on a warrant. 

At 12:39 p.m., police arrested a Randolph man for malicious damage of more than $250 in the area of Carey Circle after responding to a report of a car's tires being flattened. 

Monday, Feb. 24

At 4:06 p.m., police responded to Brad Road and subsequently arrested a 31-year-old Stoughton man for improperly stored firearms (misdemeanor), possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of a large capacity feeding device, unlawful possession of ammunition/mace, and violation of an abuse prevention order. 

At 5:14 p.m., police pulled over a vehicle on Purnell Street, where they issued a summons to a Quincy man for operating a vehicle with a suspended license, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, and drying without an inspection sticker. 

Wednesday, Feb. 26

At 1:07 p.m., police pulled over the vehicle of a West Roxbury man, whom they arrested and charged for driving with a suspended license and possession of less than one ounce of marijuana. 

Thursday, Feb. 27

At 11:43 p.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Dean Road, where they arrested a 27-year-old Stoughton man for driving under the influence of liquor and possession of a Class C drug.
