Police Log: Canton Man Arrested After Short Car Chase

Monday, June 9
At 1:21 a.m., Stoughton Police attempted to stop a vehicle on Pearl Street and engaged in a small pursuit, eventually stopping the vehicle on Rebecca Lane in Canton. Police arrested Matthew Kelly, 20, of Canton, on charges of failure to stop for a police officer while operating a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle negligently to endanger, speeding in violation of special regulation, a marked lanes violation, failure to stop/yield, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and driving with a suspended registration.
At 2:42 a.m., police arrested Kenth Willis, 25, of Stoughton on a default warrant.

At 10:56 a.m., police issued a summons to a Hyde Park man for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and driving with a suspended registration after they pulled him over on Central Street near CVS.
At 11:22 a.m., police issued a summons to a Stoughton woman for assault and battery.

At 2:11 p.m., police issued a summons to a Stoughton man for driving an unregistered vehicle and operating with a suspended license on Washington Street.
At 10:25 p.m., police arrested Ryan Ring, 21, of Holbrook, after they responded to a report of four customers refusing to leave Smokey Bones on Technology Center Drive.
Tuesday, June 10
At 5:52 p.m., police issued a summons to a Stoughton resident for driving without a license and a marked lanes violation on Park Street.
Wednesday, June 11
At 5:20 p.m., police placed a Canton man into protective custody after responding to the Town Spa in Stoughton on a report that a man had been unresponsive in a white pickup truck.
At 7:17 p.m., police issued a summons to a Canton man for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to yield at an intersection.
At 7:49 p.m., police issued a summons to a Hyde Park man for driving an uninsured motor vehicle.
