FBI: Help Us Find 'The Brim Beanie Bandit'

Suspect is wanted for four robberies, including ones in Braintree, Needham, Quincy and Stoughton, and an attempted robbery in Dorchester

The FBI wants your help in identifying a serial bank robber, called the "The Brim Beanie Bandit." He is alleged to have robbed four banks, including ones in Braintree, Needham and Stoughton, and an attempted robbery in Dorchester. 

They believe he has been involved in the following robberies in December.

Dec. 10, at approximately 10:56 a.m. attempted robbery at Bank of America, 740 Gallivan Boulevard, Dorchester.  

Dec. 10, at approximately 11:25 a.m., robbery at TD Bank, 516 Adams St., Quincy.

Dec. 13, at approximately 10:40 a.m., robbery at South Shore Bank, 1536 Turnpike St., Stoughton.  

Dec.19, at approximately 11:37 a.m., robbery at TD Bank, 95 Highland Ave.,Needham.

Dec. 23, at approximately 3 p.m., robbery at Braintree Cooperative Bank, 1010 Washington St., Braintree.

He is being described as a white male, being in his late 40s or early 50s, 5'7" and 150 pounds. He has worn a dark sweatshirt or jacket, black pants, black gloves and dark brown or black boots or shoes with a black and/or gray brim beanie cap. He is considered armed and dangerous.

The Brim Beanie Bandit has entered the banks, approached the teller, showing either a note or leaving a note asking for money. Investigators don't know whether he is using a vehicle to get away or what direction he has fled after the robberies at this time.

Multiple law enforcement agencies, including FBI-Boston, Boston, Quincy, Stoughton, Needham and Braintree Police Departments along with the Violent Crimes Task Force officer of the Massachusetts State Police, are investigating the case.
