Belchertown Man Arrested in Stoughton After Driving Drunk for Fourth Time

A Belchertown man involved in a two car crash in Stoughton early Sunday morning was driving drunk, according to Stoughton Police.

It was the fourth time David Couchon, 38, of State St. in Belchertown, has been charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, according to the Stoughton Police Log.

The crash occurred just before 12:30 a.m. on August 25 at the intersection of Pleasant St. and Central St. 

Couchon was also charged with being in possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle; operating after revocation of license for drunk driving; negligent operation of a motor vehicle; and for failing to stop/yield.

Stoughton Deputy Police Chief Robert Devine said there were no serious injuries and that no one was transported to the hospital as a result of the crash.
