18-Wheeler Rolls Over on Route 24 On-Ramp in Stoughton

The driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured when his 18-wheeler carrying stainless steel rolled over just before getting on Route 24 northbound in Stoughton Monday afternoon.

A tractor trailer rolled over on the on-ramp to Route 24 northbound from the Route 139 overpass in Stoughton Monday around 3:30 p.m., Captain James Hurley of the Randolph Fire Department said.

The 18-wheeler was coming from Stoughton, traveling on Route 139, and then got on the on-ramp to Route 24 north. The vehicle rolled over onto its side about 20-30 feet before the end of the on-ramp, Hurley said.

The driver, a male from Pennsylvania, was not injured. With the driver's side of the tractor trailer facing the ground after it rolled over, the driver exited the vehicle by climbing out of the passenger's side door, Hurley said.
