Horse off Course

Capp Park, events between 7/2 and 7/3 Horse believed stolen for spite hours after mother told landscaping crew working, "Are you planning on removing this horse?" Horse removed without city permission between 7/2 and 7/3 and this is suspicious because one of the landscapers was wacking horse on the head with a stick when he thought no one was looking. The mother, toddler, and other children in the Stoughton Day Program noticed so the mother and toddler went over there to question the violent action. The three year old began playing on this horse which she loved and called "Sparky" as she was scared off of it because they were mowing dangerously close to people playing. Landscapers claimed they had nothing to with the horse, yet now coincidentally horse is hacked off of the base and a hazard within hours of the following event. As the mother of this child, a journalist, writer, and concerned individual of this act, I am stating that there was no reason to remove the horse in this cruel manner. My intuition kicked in about this event as I could see the eagerness in their eyes to remove this horse. I understand the park is being done over but had the horse been removed properly, without the metal spring still there so someone could get hurt, there would be a lot less suspicion in this situation. I since covered the spring with a bag so no one would get injured, as the person or people responsible clearly do not remember being children due to the evidence of the hurtful vandalism. It is with regret that I had to explain to my daughter this situation that "Sparky" is gone.
