CONCERNS ON THE SCHOOL COMMITTEE PROCESSES

During the public comment period of the School Committee meeting on September 24, 2013, I voiced my concerns about how the school committee processes information and acts on it.

During the previous meeting, I voiced my concerns on the process of hiring of the school nurse. I did not get any response. By sheer logic, this must be due to one of the following reasons: 1 The answer is not available. 2 It is available or 3 Nobody wants to address it.

Dr. Ural had stated that the process for selecting the High school nurse was unacceptable. Nobody addressed my concern why Dr. Ural did not like the way the process was followed.

During the 9/24 meeting, I asked the following questions: What is the process? Was the process followed? If the process was followed then Dr. Ural does not have a problem. If the process wasn’t followed then Dr. Ural is correct.

When I brought the question up neither the school committee nor Dr. Rizzi answered. If I was following a process I would certainly defend myself by saying I followed the process. Even if the process was flawed I would say but I followed the process.

So then I thought of other questions. What forum do I use to get an answer ? What do you do with the information I communicate to you ?  Why do you give me an opportunity to communicate to you yet you don’t address my concerns. Right now I must take the side of Dr. Ural. Silence is not an answer. It is a condemnation of the process.
