RIBBON CUTTING AT BOB’S FAMOUS FOODMART:  Owners Ron DiMatteo and George Mather were beaming at a grand opening for their new sit-down dining space at Monday night.

Bob's, located at 289 Park St. on Route 27, has been a Stoughton staple for more than 50 years.

The Stoughton Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony, and Bob’s served a sampling of their wines and beers, as well as a few varieties of their Wing Dings (check out the pictures from the ribbon cutting in the media gallery).

DiMatteo told About Town that he is excited about the new 15 seat dining area.

The new seating area opened shortly after the Stoughton selectmen .

Bob’s, which serves a full breakfast, lunch and dinner, had been a hidden gem for homemade take out food, and now customers can enjoy it inside the store.

The deli is open from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. (opens at 6 a.m. on Sundays) and the store itself is open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. (opens at 6 a.m. on the weekends).

When asked what his next expansion plans were, DiMatteo said, “We’re good for a little while.”  Bob’s employs 35 full and part time people.
