Finding his temperament more suited to insurance than Wall Street, he joined the Malcolm & Parsons Insurance Agency in sales, attended extensive insurance schooling, quickly passing all licensing tests (including the State’s highest exam) to become a fully licensed Insurance Advisor, Broker, and Agent.

Parsons has been an Advisory Board member for the Professional Insurance Agents of New England, President of Metro-South Independent Insurance Agents, Past Board member of the Stoughton Chamber of Commerce, and Board Member and Finance Chairman for Kids Voting Stoughton.

Stoughton's oldest insurance agency has lost a young and generous business leader in town. He has supported local food pantries, the Stoughton Chamber of Commerce (being the lead advertiser on the chamber's discount program), and other charities in need.

Parsons was the dear brother of Amne Parsons of Walpole and Melanie Paras of Milford, and the loving companion of Kristen Vale. He also leaves his parents, Irving and Gerry Parsons of Walpole. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Panda and Foo.

He will be missed.

The funeral is private.  However, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in his name be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.

NICHOLAS HAUSAMMANN – The town also grieves right along with Mark and Marilyn Hausammann at the sudden and tragic loss Wednesday of their beloved 28-year-old son, Nicholas Adam.

Nick suffered a tragic accident at home, choking on some food.  He was the loving brother of Christine Hausammann of Stoughton and Jenna Strickland of Foxboro; cherished grandson of the late Marcel and Jean Hausammann and Russell and Helen Matthews; loving nephew of Gretchen Wanat, Sarah and John Bonham, Ellen and Roger Bell, Paul Hausammann, Andrew Hausammann, the late Ruth Hausammann and Ellen Matthews and Al Merrill; and survived by many loving cousins.

Nick was known for his brilliant mind and strong wit along with his total recall of all episodes of "The Simpsons." Nick was a voracious consumer of news and information and a lover of all things film and music; He was always thinking of new ways to shock and awe his friends with his brilliant mind.

As recently as two weeks ago, Nick posted on his Facebook page, "Prayer Bombs: An Entrepreneurial Endeavor Under Development."

He was a world traveler, happiest when touring Myanmar, Thailand and his family's homeland, Switzerland.

Nick leaves many fellow travelers and his devoted friends, Adam, Burak, Carmine, Dave, Kedaar, Kevin, Kristen, Noah, Roman and his beloved friend, Sumeet Chani.

Everyone I spoke to said the same thing about Nick—handsome, talented, intelligent, and funny. He will be greatly missed by all of those who had the pleasure to know him.

Those of us who know his family, hope that their wonderful cherished memories of him can lift them up in from the heavy weight of their grief.

The funeral was held at the , in Stoughton Monday morning, and was followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the in Stoughton.
