A BIG LOSS FOR STOUGHTON: Herbert Musmon, a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals for decades, passed away on January 19, 2012.
He was a long-standing member of in Stoughton, which held a memorial service in his honor. Herb was a leader on the ZBA, until his health situation forced him to become an alternate on the Board. He will be greatly missed.

CHAMBER RIBBON CUTTINGS: The Stoughton Chamber of Commerce hosted three ribbon cuttings over the past few days—Thursday, January 19 at Kid Care Dental; Saturday, January 21 at Kiddie Academy; and Monday, January 23 at Su Su Sushi. RIBBON CUTTING, BUT NO FLOSS: Kid Care Dental held a Stoughton Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting on Thursday, January 19, as they introduced their renovated facility at 1613 Central Street.
Cutting the ribbon were Dr. Nicole Salamy, Dr. Martin Kaplan and Dr. Htet Htet, Jim Sharland of Copy Inks, Board member Cindy Pazyra, Chamber Chairman Chris Petrie, Selectman Cynthia Walsh, Chamber Vice Chair Mark Snyder, and Chamber Board member Rick Kaplan.

NEW EDUCATION FACILITY OPENS: A ribbon cutting was held Saturday morning by the Stoughton Chamber of Commerce for the Kiddie Academy, which opened up on Rt. 138 at 1202 Washington Street.
Owner David Rudnick and Director Christine Clarke played host, and gave tours of the educational facility, which handles infants to preteens.
The facility is spacious and the teachers were warm and welcoming. Selectman Cynthia Walsh represented the Town of Stoughton at the event.

SU SU SUCCULENT! A most delicious ribbon cutting was held Monday night at Stoughton's first Japanese restaurant, Su Su Sushi at 408 Washington Street (former site of Basil Leaf).
Owners Tony and Sue Li welcomed chamber officials, as well as Selectman Cynthia Walsh.
All enjoyed an amazing array of delicious delicacies! If you haven't tried this place, you should. It's an all-you-can-eat, but NOT a buffet. I've dined there five times, and look forward to the next!

SMOKING, DRINKING & GREAT FOOD! Now, that's Heaven! The Brotherhood of Ahavath Torah Congregation held a fundraiser Scotch and Cigar Saturday night that was a huge success. About 80 people shared the smoky air, delicious food (from Bob Bornstein and his Kitchen Crew), and a great variety of scotch and cigars.
Thousands of dollars were raised, and everyone had an amazing time. Lee Elmowitz was the emcee for the event, with Rabbi and Temple President David Schulze taking a turn with the microphone.
Faces in the Crowd included Stoughton Veteran's Agent , Chief Operating Officer and Vice President Jeff Russell, and Michael Bellody, Co-Owner and President of Tiant Cigar Group in Fort Myers, Florida.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Inez Springer, Lesley University grad, and Stoughton resident; and Marlene Krowski d'Entremont, a Stoughton native, and teacher at Berkeley Community School.
