DINNER TO BENEFIT RYAN SILVA: On Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Socidade Filarmonica Sao Joao, 845 Washington Street in Stoughton Center, a fundraising dinner will be held for .
It will take place from 6 p.m. until midnight. Cost is $20 per adult or $12 per child and includes dinner, music, raffles, and fun for all.
Meet Ryan! He is a six-year-old boy who is currently in first grade at the Gibbons School . Ryan loves playing with legos, he enjoys spending time outdoors, and loves playing with friends . Ryan does have one enemy though, FOOD. Ryan suffers from a disease called Eosinophilic Esophagitis.

When he eats foods or is exposed to environmental allergens, his body sends eosinophils to his esophagus where they attack and damage the tissue. This disease causes chronic chest and stomach pain, vomiting, gagging, poor growth and other symptoms for him.
Currently there is no cure for eosinophilic disorders and no good treatment. His most recent scope has shown that this disease has ravaged his tiny body. Ryan is on a very restricted diet and is feed by a G-tube receiving most of his nourishment from elemental formula.

MORRISSEY ROARS WITH LIONS: The Stoughton Lions Club packed The function room for speaker Michael Morrissey, the Norfolk County District Attorney.
Morrissey spoke about many of the innovative programs his office is unveiling, and also gave kudos to the Lions Club for all they do for eye health and the community.
President Bob Mullen and former President Ed DeFelice presented Morrissey with a thank you gift for his appearance (see Patch gallery).

CHURCH FAIR I: will hold their Church Fair on Friday, Nov. 11, from 4-8 p.m. (with $2 admission for adults) and on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (FREE all day).
There will be a food table, attic treasures, hand knits, books, CD's, DVD's, baked goods, childrens items, jewelry, Christmas items, and crafts, and a white elephant sale.

CHURCH FAIR II: hosts a Holiday Fair on Friday, November 11, from noon to 7 p.m. and on Saturday, November 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free Admission.
Includes crafts, plants, silent auction, cookie walk, boutique, jewelry, baked goods, books, wood crafts, grab bags, candy, childrens games, fine china and an appearance by SANTA! First United is located at 103 Pleasant Street on Rt. 139.

CHURCH FAIR III: Stoughton Life Teen is having its annual at this Saturday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
There will be lots of vendors and crafters, homemade lunches to purchase (including homemade meatball subs), cupcake decorating and face paint for the kids, raffles, hot drinks and more! You might even find some early Thanksgiving Christmas or Holiday gifts.
