NATIONAL POLLSTER COMING TO STOUGHTON: Former presidential pollster Patrick Caddell will be speaking on issues of national security and the Middle East at the Ahavath Torah Congregation on Monday, January 28th, as part of  the Irwin M. and H. Ethel Hausman Memorial Free Speech Speakers’ Series.

This event is held in conjunction with "Secure America Now," which helped obtain Mr. Caddell’s commitment for this event on short notice.  

Pat Caddell has worked for Democratic presidential candidates George McGovern in 1972, Jimmy Carter in 1976 and 1980, Gary Hart in 1984, Joe Biden in 1988, and Jerry Brown in 1992. He also worked for Colorado Senate candidate Andrew Romanoff in 2010. He taught at the US Military Academy, University of California-Santa Barbara, University of California-San Diego and the National War College.

He has appeared regularly on all major news networks and special news programs including “Meet the Press” (NBC), “Sunday Morning” (ABC), “Face the Nation” (CBS) and on all major cable networks; CNN, MSNBC (including Chris Matthews), CNBC, and Fox News. He has been regularly featured and quoted in the nation's leading newspapers and news weeklies, as well as the author of a number of guest and op-ed articles.

Pat Caddell has served as a consultant to various movies and television shows, most notably the movies Running Mates, Air Force One, Outbreak, In the Line of Fire, and the The West Wing. He has served as a commentator for a wide range of TV news programs and print publications over the years. He was a co-founder of the consulting firm Caddell, Doak and Shrum.

There will be two events the evening of January 28th: the first will be a special dinner with Mr. Caddell beginning at 6:15 p.m.  Mr. Caddell will deliver a private briefing on Israel, Iran, Syria and Benghazi: The Story Behind the Story or Idiocy on Both Sides of the Aisle.

Seating will be limited. Cost will be $250 per person for those who request seating with Pat Caddell, $125 for general dinner seating. Jewish dietary laws will be observed. Checks may be made payable to Ahavath Torah Congregation to help underwrite the cost of Mr. Caddell’s appearance. 

The second event, beginning at 7:30 p.m., will be open to the general public.  The topic of Mr. Caddell's talk will be The Crisis of National Security: The Great Disconnect. Admission is $20 in advance, $25 at the door.
