Stoughton Obituary: Robert D. Bilbrey

Stoughton resident Robert D. Bilbrey, 74, passed away July 22, 2013 after a long period of failing health.

The following is from the Farley Funeral Home website:

Robert D. Bilbrey, 74, died Monday, July 22, 2013, at Brockton Hospital after a long period of failing health.

He was the husband of 47 years of Barbara A. (Cotellesso) Bilbrey.

Born and raised in Livingston, TN, he was a graduate of Livingston Schools. He also attended Newbury Jr. College.

Mr. Bilbrey was a Veteran of the United States Navy where he served proudly for 10 years.

A resident of Stoughton since 1995, he worked as a truck driver for many years, retiring several years ago. He was known as a prankster and in his free time, he enjoyed gardening and fishing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his siblings, Lura-Jean Bilbrey, Elva-Dean Day, Jackie-Lon Bilbrey and Marvene Eston Bilbrey all of TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday at 7 p.m. Visiting Hours prior to the prayers from 4-7 p.m.

Donations in his memory may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
