Stoughton Obituary: Noreen (Pray) Finn

Noreen P. (Pray) Finn, 80, died Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the Brockton Hospital in Brockton after a short illness. She was the beloved wife of 58 years of Edward F. Finn, Jr.

Born in Boston, she was raised in Jamaica Plain and was a graduate of Jamaica Plain High School.

She was a resident of Stoughton since 1959.

Mrs. Finn worked for several area companies including Boston Mutual Life, Pinkerton Security and Sharon Memorial Park. She retired several years ago.

She was an active member of the Deborah Sampson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution where she was a former Regent. She was also a member of the Neighborhood Sewing Club. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, sewing, crossword puzzles, decorating for the holidays and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Edward F. Finn III of East Bridgewater and Melissa L. Spathanas and her husband Frank of Whitman. She was the Beloved Grandmother of Edward F. Finn IV, Nicole Finn, Frank Spathanas Jr. and Michael Spathanas.

She was the sister of Wayne Pray of NC, Alan Pray and Sandra Pray both of Abington and the late Richard, Robert and Philip Pray, Joann Swift and Susan Moyette. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) in Stoughton on Saturday, August 10 at 10:30 a.m.

Visiting Hours Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the Farley Funeral Home.

Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
