Stoughton Obituary: David Bowlby, 28

The following is from the Farley Funeral Home website

David R. Bowlby, 28, died unexpectedly August 17. 

Born in Boston, he was raised and educated in Sharon and attended Sharon Schools. He was a resident of Stoughton since 2003. 

He worked as a landscaper for Greenfields Landscaping in Sharon for several years. He was a lover of all sports, especially basketball and football and also enjoyed playing "Magic-the Gathering" and reading.

Above all, he loved spending time with his children, family and cousins.

He is survived by his parents, John M. and Cynthia (Katzman) Bowlby of Stoughton.

He was the loving partner of Ashley Shine of Canton and was the father of John B. and Emily A. Bowlby of Canton. 

He was the brother of Sarah (Bowlby) Jallow and her husband Dean of England and the grandson of Florence Bowlby of MI and the late James Bowlby MD and Mary and Sydney Katzman O.D. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) in Stoughton on Wednesday from 9-11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. 

Burial will follow at Dry Pond Cemetery in Stoughton. 

Family requests that no flowers will be accepted. Memorial Donations in his memory may be made to the John & Emily Bowlby Family Fund, PO Box 93, Stoughton, MA. 

Memorial Observances will be held in his Bay Road family home on Thursday from 2-6 p.m.
