Jerald S. "Jerry" Savage

, of Stoughton, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the age of 64.

Beloved husband of Sheryl (Forman) Savage. Loving father of Michael Savage and his wife Karen of Wrentham and Karen Knox and her husband Tom of Shirley.

Cherished grandfather of Brody Knox, Anya Knox and the late Cole Benjamin Knox. Dear brother of Samuel Savage and his wife Debra of West Newton. Devoted son of the late Melvin and Ruth Savage. Son-in-law of Alfred and Laura Forman of Stoughton and brother-in-law of Irving and Rhoda Forman of Framingham. Dear uncle to his nieces.

Services were held at in Stoughton on Friday, August 31, followed by a burrial at Sharon Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund, Ahavath Torah Congregation, 1179 Central St., Stoughton, MA 02072.

Francis Murphy

Francis Anthony Murphy, a United States Navy Veteran, and 25 year resident of Stoughton, formerly of Canton and Jamaica Plain, passed away at his home peacefully under the care of his wife Judith and family on Saturday, August 25, 2012. He was 72 years old.

He is survived by his wife Judith A. (McCarron), four loving children - Francis S. Murphy of Brockton, Kimberly A. Murphy of Stoughton, Jennifer L. Curtis of Canton and Joseph M. Murphy also of Stoughton. Other survivors include his sister Grace M. O’Connor and her husband Thomas of Franklin and 8 grandchildren.

Born on October 17, 1939 in Boston, he was the only son of the late Francis T. and Josephine L. (Danca) Murphy.

He attended Boston Public Schools. Mr. Murphy enlisted and served his country proudly from 1956-1962 and earned the rank of E-3 with the United States Navy.

Mr. Murphy was employed as a Salesman in the home improvement industry for over 45 years. He was able to remain very passionate about his salesmanship skills throughout his entire working career. He took great pride in the elements and challenge of the “Sale.”

Frank was a hardworking, generous, devoted husband, father , grandfather, uncle and brother. He enjoyed trips to Las Vegas with his wife and family vacations with his children. He was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. His hobbies included horse racing and a good game of poker.

His funeral was held on Wednesday August 29 from the , which was followed by a mass at the in Stoughton. Burial with military honors took place at the MA Veteran’s National Cemetery in Bourne.

In lieu of flowers and due to floral restrictions at the cemetery, donations can be made in Frank’s memory to the Town of Stoughton, Veteran’s Services Office, C/O Mr. Michael Pazyra, Veteran’s Agent, 10 Pearl Street, Stoughton,MA 02072.

Christine A. Austin

Chrisitine Ann (Williams) Austin, a 49 year resident of Stoughton, formerly of Agawam, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at the Steward Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.

She was 59-years-old and the beloved wife of Errol W. Austin. Loving mother of Michael K. Austin and Kelley Austin both of Stoughton, she was also the cherished grandmother of three.

Born December 28, 1952 in New Bedford, Massachusetts she was the only child to John P. and Nannie E. ( Smith ) Williams.

Christine was employed for many years as a Cook at the West Newton Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Rita Dias

Rita R. (Ribeiro) Dias, 50, died peacefully at home on Friday, August 31 surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Tony G. Dias.

Born in Madeira, Portugal, she was educated in Madeira before moving to Stoughton in 1975, where she attended Stoughton High School.

Mrs. Dias was an assembler for S&S Research in Norwood for several years. She enjoyed gardening, reading, walking, traveling and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Dias is survived by her children, Jeff R. Dias and his companion Melissa Gosselin of S. Easton, Brian R. Dias and his companion Lauren Williams and Amy R. Dias and her companion Daniel Acevedo all of Stoughton, as well as her grandchildren, Hailey and Dylan Dias.

She was the sister of Connie Gonsalves, Manuel Ribeiro, Fatima Viveiros, Jose Antonio Ribeiro, Olivia Ramos, Margarida Spinola and Sally Pacheco all of Stoughton, Afonso Ribeiro of FL, Emily Bettencourt and Paula Sylvia both of Brockton, Grace Gibbons and Paul Ribeiro both of NH and the late Joao Ribeiro. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) in Stoughton on Wednesday, September 5 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton at 10:30 a.m. Visiting Hours are Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be private.

Chintana (Sae-Ton) Crean

Chintana (Sae-Ton) Crean, 63, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Thursday, August 30 surrounded by her family.

She was the wife of 43 years of David M. Crean. Born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, she resided in Stoughton for the past 40 years. Mrs. Crean was a self-employed real estate manager for the past 20 years. She was a member of the Wat Nawamintararachutis in Raynham and the Wellfleet Flea Market Association.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Crean is survived by her daughters, Dawn M. Reardon and Denise Crean both of Stoughton, as well as her grandson, Marshal G. Reardon. She is also survived by 6 brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers.

Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home in Stoughton on Wednesday, September 5 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral Services will be private.

Juvenal Andrade

Juvenal R. Andrade, 90, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at the Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation-Goddard in Stoughton on Monday, August 27.

He was the husband of Carlota L. (DePina) Andrade. Born and raised in Cape Verde, he settled in Dorchester in 1960 before moving to Stoughton in 1992.

Mr. Andrade attended college in Cape Verde and also served in the militarythere. He was a welder for Woolworth Co. in Braintree for 22 years before retiring in 1982. He was well known for playing mancala and was an accomplished player. He also enjoyed playing Bisca, working in his vegetable garden, singing and driving to Boston to visit family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Fatima of Trinidad, Theodora Texeira of FL, Carlos Andrade, Antonio Andrade and Carmen Hardaway all of Boston, Nena Andrade-Karama of Braintree and Fatima Oliveira of Bridgewater. He was the brother of Ernestina Carvalho of Boston and was predeceased by 9 brothers and sisters. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass was held at the Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton on Friday, August 31. Interment will took place at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton.

Louis DiRusso

Louis G. DiRusso, 83, of Stoughton, passed away Saturday, August 25 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.

He is survived by his beloved wife and soul mate Constance "Connie" (Neas) DiRusso and his children, Rose Reilly and her husband William of South Easton, Donna Gustafson and her husband Frank of Falmouth, Linda Gilmartin and her husband Richard of Gulf Breeze, FL, Barbara Perkins and her husband William of Bridgewater and Anthony DiRusso of Pensacola, FL.

He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, many loving nieces and nephews, relatives and loyal friends.

Mr. DiRusso was the son of the late Gaetano and Emelia (Valente) DiRusso. He was born and educated in Brooklyn, NY. He is predeceased by his brothers Anthony, Salvatore and Francis.

Louis was a member of the American Legion Post 89, VFW Post 1645 of Stoughton and the USS Rochester Association of which he was one of the founders. He served in the US Navy during World War II and the Korean War. Mr. DiRusso was a self employed general contractor.

Funeral Service was held from the Farley Funeral Home in Stoughton on Wednesday, August 29. Interment took place at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.

Linda Valeri

Linda M. (Donaruma) Valeri, 64, a resident of Stoughton, died at Good Samaritan Medical Center on Saturday, August 25. She was the wife of Joseph A. Valeri.

Born in Boston, she was raised in Hyde Park and graduated from Cardinal Cushing High School in South Boston, Class of 1965. She lived in Stoughton for the past 8 years after living in Canton for 10 years. Mrs. Valeri was a homemaker. She loved to cook and also enjoyed gardening. She especially loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Valeri is survived by her daughters, Lori Ann Donnelly and her husband Steven of East Bridgewater, Donna M. Fabrizio and her husband Paul of Bridgewater and Kerri A. Ruggiero and her husband Mark of Whitman, as well as her grandchildren: Collin, Cecylia, Nico, Tyler, Alexia, Gianna and Alyssa. She was the sister of Ralph Donaruma, Jr. of Canton and the late Patty Ann Ryan and Carol Butler. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral was held from the Farley Funeral Home in Stoughton on Tuesday, August 28 and was followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton. Interment took place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.

Lena Wolfson

Lena (Oren) Wolfson, of Stoughton, formerly of Mattapan, Nantasket and Rockland, passed away August 22, 2012 at the age of 87.

Beloved wife of the late Malcolm Wolfson, who passed away on January 16, 2012. Devoted mother of Philip Wolfson and his wife Nancy, Ellen Paderson and her husband Leon and Andrew Wolfson. Loving sister of the late Samuel Orren, Lucas Orren and Joseph Oren. Cherished grandmother of Nancy and Paul Miller, David Wolfson, Kimberley Paderson, Allan Paderson and a great grandson Marc Miller.

Services were held at the Stanetsky Memorial Chapel in Canton on Sunday, August 26, 2012. Interment took place at Sharon Memorial Park.
