The following are obituaries for Stoughton residents or those with Stoughton ties for the week of January 6-12.

Roseanne (Rossi) Hart

Roseanne (Rossi) Hart, age 58 of Stoughton, died Friday January 4, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy illness. She was the devoted wife of Michael P. “Benny” Hart.

Roseanne was born in Brockton and raised in West Bridgewater, a daughter of the late Chester and Rose (Beaton) Rossi and had resided in Stoughton for the past 35 years.

A 1972 graduate of West Bridgewater High School, Roseanne also graduated from Southeastern Regional Vocational High School. She was a stay at home mom who would often help out at her father’s business, The Ice House in Brockton.

Roseanne enjoyed playing bocci, shuffle board and bowling. She loved volunteering for her children’s school and sports activities. Roseanne was outgoing, loved to talk with anyone and possessed a great sense of humor. She also enjoyed planning and hosting party events. Roseanne’s true joy in life was spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Roseanne leaves her four children Patrick R. Hart of Taunton, Paul M. Hart of Fall River, and her twins Kristen R. and Kevin P. Hart both of Holbrook.

She was the sister of Joseph Rossi of Portsmouth, RI; David Rossi of Fall River, Patricia “Tricia” Luciano of Campton, NH; Rebecca “Becka” Knox of West Bridgewater and the late Sandra Clooney.

She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were handled by the Conley Funeral Home in Brockton. Funeral Mass took place in St. Ann Church in West Bridgewater on January 10, followed by a burial at Pine Hill Cemetery in West Bridgewater.

Carl D. "Carlie" Weinstein

Carl D. "Carlie" Weinstein, of Stoughton, formerly of Randolph passed away January 5 at the age of 68.

Beloved husband of Harriet (Shefshick) Weinstein. Devoted father of Sherri Weinstein of Stoughton, Lanie Catorio and her husband Michael of Stoughton, Julie Duvall and her husband Eric of Duxbury and Todd Weinstein and his wife Kim of Needham. Cherished grandfather of Joshua, Jenna, Olivia, Molly, Ava, Phoebe and Vince.

Loving brother of Sheldon Weinstein and his wife Louise of Sharon, Leon Weinstein and his wife Irene of Swampscott, Laurie Cabit and her husband Alan of Stoughton and Louis Weinstein and his wife Jayne of Plymouth.

Services were held at the Stanetsky Memorial Chapel in Canton on January 7. Interment took place at Sharon Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the Massachusetts General Hospital, 55 Fruit Street, Boston, MA 02114.

Francis G. "Danny" O'Neill

Francis G. "Danny" O'Neill, 70, a resident of Middleboro, died at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Saturday, January 5. He was the husband of Jane M. (Danahy) O'Neill.

Born in Boston, he was a graduate of Mission High School, Class of 1961. He also attended several different colleges. He was a resident of Middleboro for 7 years after living in Stoughton for 47 years.

Mr. O'Neill was an Airman 1st Class in the U.S. Air Force and a Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He was a Manager at Stop & Shop in various locations for over 40 years before retiring 8 years ago.

He was an avid Boston fan and especially enjoyed football and baseball. He also loved traveling around the world.

In addition to his wife, Mr. O'Neill was the father of Greg J. O'Neill and his wife Shawn of Taunton, Ken F. O'Neill and his wife Melissa of Bridgewater and the late Kevin F. O'Neill. He was the grandfather of Liam, Hannah, Connor, Riley and Camden O'Neill.

He was the brother of Joseph T. O'Neill, Jr. of Portsmouth, NH, Richard J. O'Neill of Attleboro, Kathleen M. Marinelli of Middleboro and the late Trudy E. O'Neill and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral was held from the Farley Funeral Home in Stoughton on Thursday, January 10, followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton. Interment was private.

Elisa D. (Carrara) Parsons

Elisa D. (Carrara) Parsons, 90, a longtime resident of Sharon, died at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston on Wednesday, January 9 after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Frederick P. Parsons.

Daughter of the late Joseph and Annie Carrara, she was born and raised in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1940.

She resided in Sharon for 55 years. Mrs. Parsons was a housewife. Her favorite place was Mattapoisett, where she summered for 55 years. An avid Boston sports fan, she enjoyed mushrooming, crabbing, bottle digging, antiquing and gardening. But talking on the phone was her favorite pastime.

Mrs. Parsons was the mother of Larry Parsons and his wife Anne of Canton, Lisa Caudle and her husband James of Foxboro and the late Scott Parsons. She was the grandmother of Michael, Brian and Michelle Caudle, Lori, Julie and Christopher Parsons.

She was the sister of the late Maude Cieri, Madeline Fritschmann, Patrick Carrara, Sr., Guy, Joseph and Eugene Carrara.

She is also survived Scott's fiancée, Julie Abele and her children Sydney and Connor as well as many nieces, nephews and lots and lots of friends.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, January 12 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Stoughton.
