The following are obituaries for Stoughton residents or those with Stoughton ties for the week of April 30.

Robert H. Botsch

Robert H. Botsch, loving husband and caregiver of over 62 years to the late Alice E. Botsch, a United States Marine Corps Aircraft Mechanic, Veteran of WWII, and a lifelong Stoughton resident, passed away at home on Friday, April 27, 2012. He was 87 years old.

Mr. Botsch is survived by his four children, Cynthia Rae Magoon and her late husband Tom of Waltham, Donna B. Davey and her husband Timothy of Norfolk, Robert H. Botsch Jr. and his wife Cheryl, of Southbridge and Sharyn B. Stedman and her husband John of Norton.

Other survivors include his sister Joan Cutillo of Mansfield, his five grandchildren, Kara and Gregory Davey of Norfolk, Robert Botsch of Southbridge, Amanda and Thomas Stedman of Norton and his uncle Arthur Boutilier of Stoughton. He was also the brother to the late Richard I. Botsch.

Born, January 1, 1925 in Stoughton, Massachusetts, Robert was a son to the late Marjorie G. Boutilier. Mr. Botsch attended and was a 1942 graduate of .

He proudly served his country as a United States Marine during World War II, attained the rank of Staff Sergeant and was Honorably Discharged in 1945. He saw military action on three fronts, the Gilbert Island Operations, the Marshall Island Operations and the Marianas Island Operations.

Robert was an avid sports fan of all New England teams and enjoyed shuffleboard. He was the proud self - employed owner of R. Botsch Concrete Forms.

Janet (MacIsaac) Rossi

Janet F. (MacIsaac) Rossi, 86, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Braemoor Rehab. & Nursing Center in Brockton on Saturday, April 28. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Rossi.

Born in Jamaica Plain, she was a graduated of Roslindale High School, Class of 1942. Mrs. Rossi was a resident of Stoughton for 30 years after living in Roslindale for many years. She was a homemaker and also worked for the Veteran's Administration for many years before starting her family.

Mrs. Rossi is survived by her children, Robert A. Rossi of Brockton, Christine A. Lane and her husband Shaun of Raynham, William A. Rossi of Japan and Lisa J. Rossi of Florida.

She was the grandmother of Abilgale Rossi, Kyle, Mia and Fiona Lane, Sophie and Emme Landry and the late Connor Lane. She was the sister of Joseph MacIsaac and his wife Eleanor of Milton, Rev. Charles MacIsaac of NJ, and the late Archie, Hugh, Florence and Robert MacIsaac and Mary Friel. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Evelyn (Fisher) Norvish

Evelyn M. (Fisher) Norvish, 68, a longtime resident of Whitman, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, April 25. She was the wife of the late Robert Norvish.

Born in Brockton, she was educated in Brockton and Stoughton schools and graduated from Stoughton High School, Class of 1962. She was a resident of Whitman for 25 years.

Mrs. Norvish was a hairdresser for many years at the Scissor Shack in Easton before working as a secretary at Mass. General Hospital for 8 years until her retirement in 2009. She enjoyed candy making, cake decorating, quilting and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Norvish is survived by her daughter, Robin L. Azevedo and her husband John of Bridgewater and her granddaughters, Francesca and Emersen Azevedo. She was the sister of the late Joyce Simmons and Robert Fisher. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Jean Rita (Pantano) Elliott

Jean Rita (Pantano) Elliott, 95, a resident of Stoughton, died at John Adams HealthCare Center in Quincy on Wednesday, April 25.

She was the wife of the late James A. Elliott. Born and raised in Braintree, she was a graduate of Braintree High School, Class of 1935. She was a resident of Stoughton for the past 17 years. Mrs. Elliott was a homemaker and also volunteered with Stoughton senior citizens.

Mrs. Elliott was the mother of Geraldine E. Egan and her husband Thomas of Shrewsbury, Marjorie J. Murphy and her husband Robert of Braintree, Barbara A. Wood and her husband James of Randolph, Paula J. Zanca and her husband Richard and Jean R. Pinnetti and her husband Mark all of Stoughton and the late James A. Elliott, Jr. and Harold M. Elliott. She was the mother-in-law of Brenda Elliott of FL. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Scott Elliott, 7 brothers and sisters.
