Rudy Sestito: Longtime Stoughton Resident, Korean War Veteran
Services will be held on Friday and Saturday this week.
Rudy A. Sestito, 83, a longtime resident of Stoughton and Peaks Island, Maine, died on Monday, May 12, according to his obituary.
Raised in Malden and Readville, he was a graduate of Hyde Park High School, and also a veteran of the Korean War, he later served in the U.S. Navy onboard the USS Mindoro (CVE-120).
A funeral will be held from the Kan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 605 Washington St. in Easton on Saturday at 7:45 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 a.m. Military honors to follow. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
